Trail

Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version: Trail reads your steps, walking distance and flights climbed from Apple Health so it can draw your trail. That data stays on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Trail has no account, no servers, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

What Trail reads

With your permission, Trail reads these types from Apple Health:

Trail only reads. It never writes to, changes or deletes anything in Health. You can change what Trail may read at any time in the Health app or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.

Where your data goes

Nowhere. Trail works entirely on your devices:

What Trail doesn't do

Notifications, Siri and Shortcuts

If you allow notifications, Trail sends one notification the day you reach your goal, created on your device. When you ask Siri or run a shortcut, Trail answers from the data on your device.

Deleting your data

Deleting Trail from your devices removes everything Trail stored. Your Health data stays in the Health app, where you control it.

Children

Trail doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
